New Trend of Web Design Companies Moving Into Print Design

I've spotted a new trend of web design companies diversifying into print design - a search for print design services london shows a number of companies doing this. I just hope they understand that the two disciplines are very different - it's easy to assume they're by and large the same, but they are two very different mediums (the web and print).
When diversifying your skills, you should look at the new field you're moving into with fresh eyes. Pretend you know nothing at all about this field, and learn from the ground up. Of course web design and print design skills overlap considerably, but those skills that don't overlap are just as important to learn. So don't get complacent, and get yourself on a course and tread carefully. But once you do learn your new skillset, you'll find you've also improved upon your established skillsets too - it's always good to keep learning new skills.
