How to know if a movie you are buying is pirated

I like collecting movies, from all over, I buy old movies in video stores but the one place I like getting all sorts of movies be it classic or new, is on ebay the best market for online shoppers. I like buying the movies on ebay because people who have amazing collections and are looking to get rid of them sell them at an affordable price. The problem with buying movies on ebay is the difficulty you will face if you happen to buy pirated movies that usually carry a very heavy penalty. I get ebay alerts all the time when a movie I want to have is up for sale and if I get an ebay alert of a movie that is still showing in the movie theaters, then they are definitely pirated, and also if they have not been on a digital video disk, then it is pirated. All this information I got from the ebay website which is a good thing because they know hot to take care of the safety of their customers.
